An elderly COVID-19 patient being treated at the COVID Facility in Gaafu Dhaalu Thinadhoo has passed away.

Media Officer of the Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital in Thinadhoo, Hussain Salim merchant old One Online that an 88-year-old local man at the facility passed away at 5:30 a.m. this morning.

While this is the first person to pass away due to COVID-19 in Thinadhoo, this death takes the national COVID-19 death toll to 173.
