Health Minister Ahmed Naseem has said that they are currently investigating the death of a ten-year-old girl, whose condition worsened after an ambulance failed to arrive on time.

Speaking at the Health Emergency Operations Center (HEOC) press conference tonight, Minister Naseem said that negligence is a factor in the death of the ten-year-old and the necessary action will be taken against those found responsible.

He said that once the investigation is completed all details will be released to the public aside from the medical information. Minister Naseem said that he would be inquiring whether there was negligence on his part as well.

The family of the deceased said that the ambulance took two hours and twenty minutes.
