The total number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 40,951 after another 834 people have recovered from the illness.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 834 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 40,951 with another 24,035 people still in treatment.

In the same time frame, 768 people have tested positive including 373 people in Male' area and 357 from the atolls. HPA did not clarify numbers in terms of locals and foreigners.

So far, there have been 169 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 155 locals, 14 foreign nationals.
