The total number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 40,117 after another 803 people have recovered from the illness.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 803 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 40,117 with another 24,109 people still in treatment.
In the same time frame, 710 people have tested positive including 488 people in Male' area and 202 from the atolls. HPA did not clarify numbers in terms of locals and foreigners.
So far, there have been 161 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 147 locals, 14 foreign nationals.
