The total number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 39,314 after another 1,081 people have recovered from the illness.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 1,081 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 39,314 with another 24,205 people still in treatment.

In the same time frame, 780 people have tested positive including 571 people in Male' area and 205 from the atolls. HPA did not clarify numbers in terms of locals and foreigners.

So far, there have been 158 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 144 locals, 14 foreign nationals.
