The national airline of Seychelles has decided to start flights between the Maldives and South Africa.

The airline has held weekly flight between the two destinations around the turn of the year as well.

Travel news outlets report that according to Air Seychelles, the flights will be starting on 12 June 2021 with weekly flights from Johannesburg to Male' City on every Friday. These flights will be transiting at the Seychelles.

The return flight from Male' City will be taking place on every Saturday.

Although many countries are under strict measures amid the COVID-19 threat, the country that are coming out of he crisis have been easing travel restrictions.

And so, with the Saudi Arabia opening its borders for their residents to travel outside the country, the Saudi airline have started flights to the Maldives on 20 May 2021.
