The total number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 38,233 after another 1,371 people have recovered from the illness.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 1,371 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 38,233 with another 24,507 people still in treatment.

In the same time frame, 1,062 people have tested positive including 699 people in Male' area and 353 from the atolls. HPA did not clarify numbers in terms of locals and foreigners.

So far, there have been 157 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 143 locals, 14 foreign nationals.
