The total number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 34,621 after another 462 people have recovered from the illness.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 462 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 34,621 with another 24,867 people still in treatment.

In the same time frame, 1,299 people have tested positive including 890 people in Male' area and 334 from the atolls. HPA did not clarify numbers in terms of locals and foreigners.

So far, there have been 147 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 133 locals, 14 foreign nationals.
