The total number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 33,136 after another 814 people have recovered from the illness.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 814 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 33,136 with another 24,057 people still in treatment.

In the same time frame, 1,417 people have tested positive including 1,097 people in Male' area and 303 from the atolls. HPA did not clarify numbers in terms of locals and foreigners.

So far, there have been 139 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 125 locals, 14 foreign nationals.
