Government denies rumors of the Maldivian capital going into lockdown.

Spokesperson of the President's Office, Mohamed Mabrook Azeez has said that a decision has not been made to place Male' City under full lockdown.

Some media outlets have reported that the Health Emergency Operations Center HEOC has proposed to the President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to lockdown the Maldivian capital on Tuesday.

Denying the reports, Spokesperson Mabrook told One Online tonight that health experts suggest various things to three President in various meetings. He said that a decision is yet to be made on a lockdown.

Meanwhile, the COVID-19 situation in the country has gone worse with over 2,000 cases reported yesterday alone. And many have been calling for a lockdown if the capital including some health experts.
