With the raw tuna and fish becoming scarece due to severe weather conditions, the price of fish has elevated at the Male' Fish Market.

Yesterday saw very limited quantity at the Fish Market which raises the prices of Skipjack Tuna and Yellowfin Tuna to the range of MVR 75 to MVR 95 per kilogram.

Along with tuna, the price of reef fish was elevated as well with red snappers between 300 to 500 while a green jobfish was for 160.

Sellers at the Fish Market say that the price is high with fewer vessels going out to fish due to bad weather at the end of this Ramadan. However, as the weather clears and more.vessels go out, the prices will be coming down as well.
