Family of the Speaker of the Parliament and former President of the Maldives, Mohamed Nasheed who left of Germany tester, for further treatment following the bombing attack, has said that he is being treated at a military hospital in Germany.

A member of the family told One Online that the former President is in good health undergoing scans before being admitted at the military hospital in Berlin.

Speaker Nasheed left from Maldives at 11 a.m. yesterday on a private ambulance jet with all expenses handled by the German government.

He was injured by an improvised explosive device (IED) on the night of 6 May 2021 and was taken to ADK Hospital where he under went 16 hours of life saving surgery.

The IED was planted on a motorcycle and was detonated via remote as the Speaker of the Parliament was entering his car.
