Three COVID-19 related deaths in the Maldoves has been reported in the span of seven hours raising the total of COVID-related in the country to 90.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that the first person passed away today was an 86-year-old local man at the Hulhumale' Facility, at 2:24 a.m.
The second person that passed away today was a 64-year-old local man, also at the Hulhumale' Facility, at 6:30 this morning.
The most recent COVID-related death was that of a 86-year-old local woman that was being treated at the special ICU for COVID-19 patients established on the 11th floor of Dharumavantha Hospital. She doesn't 9:05 this morning.
COVID situation in the country has gotten worse in the past few weeks spreading it across the country and strict measures being implemented. And so, the Male' City area currently has a curfew from 4 p.m. to 4 a.m. while cafés and restaurants are allowed delivery services only.
To implement the curfew and other restrictions, Maldives Police Service is now being aided by the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) as well.
