The total number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 27,428 after another 305 people have recovered from the illness.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 305 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 27,428 with another 13,784 people still in treatment.
In the same time frame, 1,216 people have tested positive including 1,013 people in Male' area and 201 from the atolls. HPA did not clarify numbers in terms of locals and foreigners.
As per HPA, out of the 1,216 cases being reported today, 836 cases are positive cases from samples collected between 6pm of 12th May and 6pm of 13th May.
So far, there have been 87 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 76 locals, 11 foreign nationals.
