Chair of the Joint Committee and MP for North Maafannu constituency, Imthiyaz Fahumee has said that the Committee has not made any changes to the list of names of those involved in the corruption of the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) sent by the Asset Recovery Commission.

He also noted that the committee had not brought any changes to the names listed out in the report.

MDP Chairperson and Henveiru Hulhangu Hassan Latheef submitted to look into the delayed investigations into criminal charges against those directly involved in the MMPRC Corruption as well as several beneficiaries which includes 119 state officials,.

After the Judiciary Committee convened over the submission by MP Hassan Latheef, the committee has decided to publicize the list.

Even though the decision was made today, there have been rumors and allegations that the committee has tampered with the report and the lists involved in it, after having received the original from the Asset Recovery Committee.

Committee head and North Maafannu MP Imthiyaz Fahmy said today that the rumors are false and that the list have not been tampered with. As such MP Imthiyaz said that the list includes names of 119 state officials as provided by the Asset Recovery Commission.

281 names are on the list of beneficiaries from the MMPRC Corruption Scandal.
