President of PNC party and MP for Maavashu constituency, Mohamed Saeed called to release the list conspirators involved in the corruption of the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC).
Meanwhile, the MP for Hulhumale' constituency, Ali Niyaz has said that the list in question would be good to release the list after asking the Asset Recovery Commission if anyone on the list would be saved from the accusation.
Taking to Twitter lady night, MP Saeed said that original list needs to be released and the people would not accept any additions or omissions of names.
He said that neither Parliament nor government officials should be given an exception and the access to list is not a right to a political party.
On Thursday, the Asset Recovery Commission formed by the President sent a list of 281 names of people involved in the corruption scandal to the Joint Commission of Security Committee and the Judicial Committee of the Parliament.
At the Committee meeting last night, MP Ali Niyaz said that the list must be made public and so it is important to ask the Asset Recovery Commission if anyone on the current list is going to evade charges.
Chair of the Committee, MP for the North Maafannu constituency, Imthiyaz Fahumee said that the Asset Recovery Commission had sent a list of people currently under investigation.
Members of the public along with some MPs on both sides of the aisle has been calling to release the list of people involved in the MMPRC corruption scandal.
