Leader of Jumhooree Party (JP) and Speaker of Parliament, Qasim Ibrahim said that he salutes the resoluteness shown by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih at his recent press conference.

Qasim said this while speaking at a campaign event of Parliamentary hopeful for Vilimale’ constituency on a JP ticket, former VP Dr. Mohamed Jameel. He said that the words spoken by President Solih with bravado and resoluteness cannot be further analyzed as the meaning is crystal clear.

He said that there is no reason to be confused or remain unclear as to what President Solih’s was saying. Qasim said that there is nothing that can be further said in an effort to hoodwink the public. The JP leader reiterated that President Solih resolutely and determinedly spoke of his rise to governance and of his Presidential pledges. Qasim commended President Solih on behalf of JP for remaining steadfast in carrying out his current work.

Qasim expressed his confidence that President Solih will remain resolute and said that if he continues to do so, JP will remain in full support of aiding President Solih with his pledges.

The Speaker of Parliament further said that President Solih no longer belongs to any particular political party as he is currently the President of this Republic. Qasim reiterated that President Solih should therefore view every citizen in the same manner.
