President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has said that the country has have further built and fortified ties with foreign countries and that Maldives has once again re-entered the International community.
President Solih said this at a press conference held at the Office of the President today.
The President reiterated that the isolation faced previously by Maldives has now been diminished due to changes that were brought about.
He noted that efforts are underway by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to reconnect with Qatar and Iran following a previous severing of ties.
President Solih also predicted that, efforts taken for Maldives to regain membership in the Commonwealth will come to fruition within approximately a month.
