Commissioner of Police, Mohamed Hameed has said that four suspects have been noticed in the explosives attack on the Speaker of the Parliament, former President Mohamed Nasheed, last night.

Speaking at a police press conference today, Commissioner Hameed said that four people believed to be connected to the attack have been noticed and the police are working to identify them.

He said that here are peple in prison and in the general public who capable of carrying out such an attack and that no intelligence information was received prior to the attack but the intelligence gathering has been strengthened in the aftermath.

The former President sustained various degrees f inquires in the attack last night as he was entering his car near his residence which has led to two surgeries due to damage to his lungs.

According to the family, he is now in sable condition a he ADK Hospital after multiple surgeries.
