Parliament is set to hold an emergency sitting at 10:45pm tonight.

While Parliament readies to hold an emergency sitting tonight, Speaker of Parliament and former President Mohamed Nasheed was injured following a blast near his car tonight. He is currently being treated at ADK, where MDP officials report that he is in a stable condition as of now.

"One" has learned that President Nasheed is being treated at the Operation Theater after an injury to his eye.

One Online journalists on scene at ADK Hospital has reported that ADK has amped up their security, with no one being allowed to enter the hospital as well. Police have also blocked the Kenereege Area in Majeedhee Magu as they investigate the scene further.
