Four more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Gaafu Dhaalu Thinadhoo.

The island wa solaces under monitoring after a person who was not in quarantine tested positive on 24 April.

The Dr. Abdul Same Memorial Hospital in Thinadhoo today said that a release sample collected from an Indian national on 26 April came back positive for COVID-19 and four samples among those verified during the contract tracing process has tested positive as well raising the total number of cases on the island to ten.

The hospital further said that anyone who had traveled to the No. 13 Site of the industrial land leased from the Thinadhoo-Maafushi area to contact the COVID hotline of the hospital; 793-4641.
