Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid sent a message of condolence to Retno L.P. Marsudi, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, following the tragic loss of crew members onboard the Indonesian submarine KRI Nanggala-402.

In the message, Minister Shahid stated that he is deeply saddened to hear of the tragic loss of the Indonesian crew members onboard the submarine KRI Nanggala-402.

"At this hour of national grief and distress, on behalf of the Government and the people of the Maldives and on my own behalf, I would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to Your Excellency, the Government and people of Indonesia," the message read.

The Minister also requested to convey our sincere condolences to the members of the bereaved families.
