Spokesperson of the President's Office, Mabrook Azeez has said that the President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih is currently in home quarantine.

The President's Office confirmed last night that the First Lady, Fazna Ahmed had tested positive for COVID-19. The President and his family tested for COVID and only the First Lady tested positive according to the President's Office.

Talking about One Online today, Mabrook said that the President is in Honey Quarantine under the guidelines of the Health Protection Agency HPA) as he is a direct contact of a person who tested positive.

Mabrook said that it is unlikely that a close Security Guard of the President's detail is a direct contact but if they are, they would be following as well.

While the First Lady has tested positive for COVID-19, her sister's husband, the Commissioner of Police has been tested positive as well. Some media outlets have reported that the First Lady's sister, Nazeeha Ahmed too has tested positive.
