Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has mobilized the harbor development project at Hithadhoo, Addu City.

Taking to Twitter, MTCC said that the physical works of the project was commenced this morning at a special function held in Hithadhoo this morning.

The ceremony was attended by the MPs for Hithadhoo constituency, Ahmed Rasheed and Ibrahim Naazil, the CEO of MTCC, Adam Azim and the members of the Addu City Council.

Hithadhoo harbor development project entails a harbor basin of 297,234 cubic meters, 800 meters of outer sea wall, 284 meters of inner sea wall and 1,420 square meters of pavement along with the installation of harbor and port lights.

Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure contracted the project to MTCC for MVR 43.52 million to be completed within 365 days.
