Elections Commission (EC) has requested that voters bring a black or blue pen when they come to vote during the local Council Election and the Women's Committees Election.

A statement issued by the Elections Commission last night said that they are urging voters are to mark the ballots with their own pens as a safety measures against COVID-19.

Special guidelines have been made to hold the elections amid the COVID-19 pandemic with those who test positive being given the chance to vote as well.

The elections initially set for April 2020 have been delayed due the global pandemic. They are now set to be held on 10 April 2021.
