Raa Atoll Hulhudhuffaaru has been placed under monitoring after a person who traveled to Ungoofaaru after 2 March tested positive for COVID-19.
Ungoofaaru went under monitoring on 19 March 2021 after a person who was not in quarantine tested positive. And the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has ordered all who traveled out of Ungoofaaru after 2 March 2021 to test for COVID-19 and quarantine for 14 days.
President of the Hulhudhuffaaru Island Council, Ali Jaavid told One Online that 180 people had traveled to Ungoofaaru since 2 March however only one person has tested positive.
Contact tracing is currently underway at Hulhudhuffaaru as the island is added to the Ungoofaaru cluster alongside Kaafu Dhiffushi, Raa Atoll Maduvvari and Lhaviyani Naifaru.
