The Parliament's Integrity Committee has decided to summon the former Minister of Communication, Science and Technology, Mohamed Maleeh Jamal regarding the allegations he made against MPs.

The allegations were made by the former minister in his response regarding the no confidence motion against him. During which Maleeh accused the MPs of threatening ministers repeatedly obstruct the work of the various cabinet ministers.

He also said that the former Minister of Gender, Family and Social Services, Shidhatha Shareef was forced by the Parliament to resign.

The Speaker of the Parliament, former President Mohamed Nasheed asked the Committee to look into the matter as Maleeh's comments could damage the public perception on the integrity of the Parliament.

The requested for an investigation into the former minister's comments were made.by the MP for Manadhoo constituency, Ahmed Haroon. Since no MP opposed, today's session of the Parliament concluded after assuring that Maleeh would be summoned.
