Speaker of the Parliament and the President of MDP, former President Mohamed Nasheed has said that MDP is going to win the Local Council Election and do a hat-trick of election wins.

Speaking at the launching of MDP's "Rahvehi Fathis" program last night, the President of MDP said that over 1,500 candidates from his party are running in the election in "iron armor". He said that the opposition opponents are going to be defeated for a third time.

Nasheed said that MDP has a specific philosophy and are working to do certain things and that is to ensure social security and provide safe living to the public. The Speaker of the Parliament said that MDP candidates are on the front lines with promises and called on the public to vote for them.

He also noted that MDP came to power with the hopes of the people and it is not a system the opposition PPM understands.
