A generator set has been taken to Thaa Atoll Veymandoo to address the electricity black out following the fire incident at the island's powerhouse yesterday.

The surprise fire incident around 2 p.m. yesterday damaged the generators beyond use and the entire island lost power.

Fenaka Corporation said that to resolve the power issue, a 360 kWh generator set was sent from Th. Guraidhoo this morning.

While a generator set has been delivered to the island this morning, the Managing Director, Ahmed Saeed Mohamed of Fenaka visited the island last night to check on the island.
