Jumhooree Party (JP) Leader, Qasim Ibrahim, has sent out a tweet just stating that the party is forced to go begging once again.

Qasim said in a second tweet posted tonight that MDP has violated all promises and pledges by running for all constituencies with the exception of one.

The JP leader said this in response to MDP releasing a statement claiming that JP had a hand in submitting the amendment that prevented former Presidents from running for Parliament.

The amendment was proposed by Jumhooree Party member and MP of the Dhidhoo constituency Abdul Latheef Mohamed.

Qasim said that he is not the least bit surprised that MDP has said that they would dismantle Joint Parliamentary Group.

Qasim’s tweet reiterated that the current question is whether there even is a JPG to dismantle since MDP has gone against their pledge and run for all constituencies except one. Qasim said therefore that MDP’s actions have now concluded any prior queries regarding the matter.
