Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced that the restrictive measures in Addu City will be extended by 7 more days.
HPA announced tonight that the measures taken on February 9th will be extended for 7 more days effective immediately.
Restrictive measures that have been taken in Addu City:
- Curfew in Addu City from 20:00 to 04:30, including a ban on vehicles and general gatherings
- Ban on parties and gatherings
- Travel between different islands
- Visiting neighbors, friends, and family
- Gatherings of more than three people in public
- Closure of Salons, Gyms, and Barbershops
- Ban on sports activities
- Discontinuation of face-to-face classes in schools, universities, and colleges
- Dine-in at F&B outlets
- Restrictions on prayer congregations
So far there are two identified clusters in Addu City; a cluster from an MTCC site in Hulhumeedhoo and a Cluster from Hithadhoo. 42 people have tested positive from the Hithadhoo cluster while 25 positive cases have been reported from the Hulhumeedhoo cluster.
