A seaplane of Manta Air has crashed in the lagoon of Hulhumale'.

A media official from MNDF told One Online that there have been no reports of any serious injuries so far and the MNDF rescue team is at the scene.

A press statement issued by Manta Air moments ago said that the incident took place while the seaplane was landing and confirmed that there were nine people on board at the time that consisted of six passengers and three crew members. The statement said that the plane departed from COMO Maalifushi at 7:30 a.m. this morning.

Meanwhile, MNDF has said that one person has sustained a shoulder dislocation while another person also has pain in the shoulder area. And they are all being transferred for a medical checkup while divers are recovering their luggage.

A medical team from the Hulhumale' Hospital are also at the airport regarding the incident, according to MNDF.
