The upcoming film "Manikarnika: Queen of Jhansi" is to have a special screening for the President of India Ram Nath Kovind.

The entire cast of the film is said to be at the screening held today at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre.

Reports say that the crew is honored and proud to have this early screening attended by the President of India.

The film starring Kangana Ranaut in the lead role is based on the life of Indian Queen, Rani Laxmibai. The Queen is an national icon according to Kangana. The film is to depict the sacrifice and hard work of the Queen to defend her nation.

While the release of the film had faced several difficulties, Kangana had taken on the role of director of the movie. Several scenes of the movie reportedly had to be re-shot.

The film will be released for audiences on 25 January 2019.
