After lifting the state of monitoring on Gaafu Dhaalu Thinadhoo, the island has been resumed to a state of normalcy.

The island was put under monitoring by the Health Protection Agency (HPA) after two people who visited the island under the special permit tested positive for COVID-19.

HPA today said that after a review, it has been decided that here is no longer a reason to keep the island under monitoring.

One Online has leaned that the people who tested positive are employees of the Ministry of gender Family and Social Services who returned on capital n1 February and was confirmed positive on Wednesday.
