Following the decision to implement new measures against the spread of COVID-19 in the form of new curfews, changes have been brought to the hours where businesses such as café, restaurants and shops can operate.
With the spike in cases in late January, Economic Ministry changed the business hours for shops, cafés and restaurants from 4:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. However, those hours have now been changed from 5 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
The Ministry has also ordered businesses with direct customer contact to follow the guidelines set by the Health Protection Agency (HPA).
Starting tonight, a curfew would be enforced from 11 p.m. o 4:30 a.m. in the Male’ City area while a vehicle ban will start from 8:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
