The Maldivian Chief of Defence Force, Major General Abdulla Shamaal has left for India yesterday.

Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) said that the visit is upon the invitation of the Indian Air Chief Marshall, Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria. General Samaal is also set to take part in the Indian Ocean Reginal Maritime Seminar at the Aero India 2021 exhibition as a panelist.

Defence Minister Mariya Ahmed Didi also arrived in India yesterday taking upon the invitation of Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

It was an invitation to take part in he Aer India 2021 Defence Air Show and Defence Exhibition going on until 7 February and he Indian Ocean Reginal Defence Minister’s Conclave starting tomorrow.
