Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said that a large portion of the Haa Alifu Ihavandhoo harbor development project has been completed.

The company said that an overall 40 percent of the project design and build has been completed while 60 percent of the new harbor basin dredging works currently completed.

The project entails a harbor of 30,509 cubic meters, 95 meters of inner sea wall, 84 meters of outer sea wall, 178 meters of revetment along with 4,582 square meters of pavement and the installation of port lights.

The project is valued at MVR 48.5 million.
