Today’s hearing with the Acting Leader of the opposition Progressive Congress Coalition, Abdul Raheem Abdulla, has ended after giving him time to respond to the charges against him.

At the hearing today, State Prosecutor Mariyam Nazleen said that the PNC President is charged under Penal Code 515 use of offensive language on the day he guilty verdict was delivered against the former President, Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, towards the judges.

When the court asked he defendant if the charges against him are clear, Adurey’s attorney, Hisham, said that the documents of the charges were received today and need more time to prepare a plea response. And he requested another hearing to response.
