MWSC inaugurates new logo

Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has inaugurated their new logo on their 25th anniversary.

At a special ceremony held this morning, the logo was inaugurated by the Managing Director of MWSC, Hassan Shah.

Speaking at the ceremony, Shah said that the new logo upgrade represents the positive changes to the and the development to the company. However, the changes have been made without losing the shape and features of the original.

Further speaking, the Managing Director of MWSC said that when the company first started on 1 April 1995, the company had a water production capacity of 3,900 tons per day operating with 60 employees. But now, the capacity is 30,043 tons with over 900 employees.

And the service previously only available in the capital city, Male’, have now been expanded to Hulhumale’, Vilimale’, Thilafushi, Gulhifalhu and Maafushi in Kaafu Atoll along with Raa Atoll Dhuvaafaru and Haa Dhaalu Kulhudhuffushi.

Shah said that even though MWSC was founded for water and sewerage services, their services have now been expanded to engineering, manufacturing and trading. And so, water and sewerage systems are being designed from an engineering standpoint along with operating plants.
