The office of the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) in Hulhumale’ has been robbed after a break-in.
Maldives Police Service said that the report of a break-in robbery at the MIRA Hulhumale’ office was reported his morning at 8 a.m. However, Police are not offering any further information on the matter.
While officers are still active at the scene, Police have confirmed to One Online that MVR 37,000 along with a number of revenue stamps.
Assistant Commissioner of MIRA, Ahmed Shareef told One Online that it has been identified that people had entered the office and it has been reported to the police.
He said that no comment can be made as the police are conducting an investigation.
