Eight more people have tested positive for COVID-19 at Gaafu Alifu Dhevvadho.

Vice President of Dhevvadhoo Island Council, Ibrahim Thaufeeq confirmed to One Online that eight more people have tested positive. He said that with the eight people who tested positive today, the total active cases on the island has risen to 22.

While COVID-19 continues to spread in Dhevvadhoo, it is still unclear as to how the illness got to the island.

A total of 32 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the island and some of them have recovered from the illness.
