Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said that the harbor development project at Thaa Atoll Guraidhoo is well underway.

The company said that 22 percent of the project ahs been completed and 63 percent of the concrete work for the inner sea wall has been finished as well along with 16 percent of the pavement.

Guraidhoo harbor project entails the newly added portion to the 7,952 cubic meter harbor, dredging the current harbor area to 10,134 cubic meters, 208 meters of outer sea wall, 329 meters of inner sea wall and 1,875 square meters of pavement development.

The project was contracted to MTCC for MVR 46.01 million.
