Addu Flying School has been fined MVR 35,000.
While the institution is facing a fine, allegations against them regarding prolonged programs and discrimination against students have come to light recently.
The Civil Aviation Authority revealed that the Asian Academy of Aeronautics has been fined MVR 35,000 for the violation of maintenance standards. Under the law, the school could have faced a fine with a maximum of MVR 100,000.
The Civil Aviation Authority also added that they are being fined MVR 35,000 with the opportunity to fix all and any violations that have been found.
Several students have come out with allegations of discrimination against them on repeated occasions, even adding that they do not obey orders from state institutions as well.
