Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said that the design and build of Haa Alifu Atoll Ihavandhoo harbor is well underway.

Taking to Twitter this morning, MTCC said that 35 percent of the overall project has been completed and 59 percent of the newly added dredging phase has been completed as well.

The project entails harbor dredging of 21,295 cubic meters, an inner sea wall of 95 meters, outer sea wall of 284 meters, 178 meters of revetment along with a pavement of 4,582 square meters and installation of harbor lights and street lights.

MTCC was contracted with the project for MVR 48.5 million.
