Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has started a training program with weapons in some of the inhabited islands and resorts in the Lhaviyani Atoll.

An announcement by the MNDF said that the Northern Area Command will be conducting a training exercises in some of the inhabited islands and resorts in the atoll and forms of pyrotechnics will be used in these exercises.

MNDF has advised the public to be aware of the exercises that will be going on from today to 10 January.

While training exercises are being carried out in inhabited islands and resorts, a similar training exercise began in Hulhumale’ yesterday.
