President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has concluded his visit to Dubai, United Arab Emirates and returned to the Maldives.
Spokesperson of the President’s Office, Ibrahim Hoodh told One Online today that the President returned to the country yesterday evening and is at the office today.
The President visited Dubai on an unofficial visit on Sunday. On this visit, President Solih met with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. During the meeting, President Solih and Crown Prince Al Nahyan exchanged updates on the ongoing situation of the Covid-19 pandemic in their respective countries.
President Solih applauded the UAE's leadership in partnering with other countries to bolster global efforts to curb the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak and expressed admiration towards the innovative technological strategies deployed by the UAE Government in facing this pandemic.
The two also discussion further collaborations between the two countries.
