Telecommunication and communications company Ooredoo has launched a text message competition - "Guess the word".

The competition, inspired by popular game Hangman offers prizes worth a total of 200,000 MVR. The prizes includes data packages, a MacBook air as well as smart phones and various other gadgets.

While the game is divided into five different levels, the game is about guessing the word by arranging the letters and earning points. The objective is to earn maximum number of points to win prizes. The difficulty of the words will increase with the rise of the level within the game; as will the points earned.

The competition is to be held from the 10th of January till the 10th of April 2019. Those who wish to participate should text "Go" to 4646.

The top scorer of every day is warded 1.25 GB of data while the top scorer every 15 days wins the prize of an iPhone X. The ultimate prize for the winner in first place with the most scores is a MacBook air laptop. The first runner-up is to win a Samsung Note 9 while the second runner-up is set to win an Apple Watch.
