It has been announced that MVR 905 million has been received to the country as free aid this year so far.

Weekly finance report from the Ministry of Finance and Treasury this week show MVR 905.2 million come in as free aid as of 17 December 2020. Last year, MVR 1-1 billion was received in the same time period.

The annual state budget for 2020 expected MVR 5.2 billion would come in as free aid.

Meanwhile, MVR 13.6 billion has come in for the state as income and free aid. However, it is a low compared to the MVR 16.2 billion estimated in the state budget.
