Economic Ministry has said that 31 private businesses registered with the Ministry under the Private Businesses Act has been dissolved.

An announcement by the Ministry today said that the businesses were dissolved in October 2020.

Registrar of Companies, Mariyam Visam, told One Online that the businesses that were dissolved were done so upon the request of their respective owners as they no longer want to continue the businesses.

Private Businesses Act was ratified in 2014 to empower private citizens to get into the business sector. The Act allow single owners to have sole ownership of their private businesses.
