Among the COVID-19 patients in the Maldives, 95 percent of them have recovered.

Statistics released by the Health Protection Agency (HPA) show that as of yesterday, the number of COVID-19 cases in the country is at 13,402 with 12,786 recoveries and 561 patients in treatment.

And so, 95.39 percent of COVID-19 patients in the country have recovered according to statistics.

As for the current COVID situation in the Maldives, the number of people testing positive without any contact is below the first alert level and has been so for a week.

The Flu Clinic Positivity Rate used to measure the level of Community Spread, has been on the rise with an 11 percent high between 11 and 18 December.

So far, 48 people has passed away due to COVD-19 complications that consists of 41 locals, six Bangladeshi nationals and a Philippine national.
